Hell Inc Kills...Err..Finds Kazzak Up For Once...
Posted Tuesday March 21 2006 - 05:12AM

We never had any doubt that we could kill Kazzak as a guild. In fact, more of the challenge find him up and not camped rahter than actually killing him. Thanks to a friendly tip this evening, we found Kazzak up and we quickly put him down.

This is our first Kazzak kill ever and perhaps our last but at least we can say we did it.

In addition, we also found 40 people is most likely overkill. I do believe Kazzak went from 100% to 0% in under 60 seconds.

Nice job folks.

Ossirian the Unscarred Down...Finally...
Posted Friday March 17 2006 - 11:56PM

In the tradition of my late posting and not entirely worth mentioning but we finally got around to dong this. We either never had the time or always ran into bad luck. Thus to make up for lost time, we downed Ossirian for the first time Sunday, and again on Tuesday. AQ 20 is a fun instance and now on farm status. Here's to lots more book farming...

Good job folks.

Battleguard Sartura won't be guarding much anymore...
Posted Saturday March 11 2006 - 09:41AM

After countless wipes, Battlegauard Sartura is down!

There's not too much to say here. This fight is one that is not easy nor is it hard. It simply takes some adjusting to an entirely new dynamic, unlike any fight we've come into contact with before. Once we had things down, a few wipes to refine our strategy and Battleguard Sartura was down!

Up next...Fankriss the Unyielding!

Building a new server....
Posted Thursday March 02 2006 - 10:33AM

As many of you know, our server has been slowing down a lot lately. It's gotten to the point where it takes several minutes just to open a post or refresh the forums. The time has come to attempt to remedy the issue of our age old server, and to buy a new one.

Unfortunately, this is something that is costly and so I am making this news post in an attempt to try and raise the money to solve this growing problem. The administrator for our server, Squal has compiled a new server to build and a budget. The budget is $1200. That is the goal for which we are trying to reach.

At the moment, I believe we have 25% of that goal and have begun the process of getting the parts. Anyone who is interested in making a donation can contact me in game and I will provde the information needed for whatever form they wish to do.

Please note that, making or not making a donation has no affect on anything. My goal here is to try and get a new server build so that we can enjoy faster forums, better voice chat and smooth chat on IRC.

Anyone who wishes to donate is welcome to do so. It's not required, nor expected of anyone. I realize not everyone has the money to do this. If you wish to donate though, it's graciously appreciated by myself and by everyone here.

Hell Inc is a long and proud standing guild. We've been running on this server for many, many years and the need to upgrade has now become critical.

Thank you for your time.

AQ 40 Progress...Prophet Skeram & Lord Kri, Princess Yauj & Vem go down!
Posted Thursday March 02 2006 - 10:23AM

I meant to post another update last week but did not have the time. First off, a job well done on droppping The Prophet Skeram last week. This is an very annoying fight but rather easy once you get everything coordinated. After downing Skeram we took the chance to take a few shots at Battleguard Satura. After a few wipes to her, we called it a night, and next day, proceeded on to the royal trio, Lord Krio, Princess Yauj & Vem. We came close to downing them but we needed a bit more work.

Yesterday evening we went back with a vegeance, downed Skeram again and went on to down Lord Kri, Princess Yauj and Vem after only a few wipes. Tomorrow we'll be moving on to Battleguard Satura and perhaps Fankriss the Unyielding.

Great job in AQ lately folks. I know we're still in process of refining BWL a bit. Even though BWL is on farm status after killing Nefarion for 2 months, we still need a bit of work in speeding up our run times and in polishing things off. Despite that, we've decided to jump head first into AQ and we've been doing great.

More AQ Exploration...
Posted Thursday February 16 2006 - 07:12AM

Last night we had a chance to check out AQ 20 again for a bit. I must say that I found this instance to be a lot of fun. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we only made it up to Ayamiss the Hunter (The second to last boss). I have no doubt though, that next time we go, we'll be able to do a full clear, quickly, and easily.

Up next was our first trip to AQ 40 Tuesday evening. I must say, it was quite an adventure. It's good to know the beginning trash has a 30 minute respawn timer. Of course we found this out the hard way...

After dealing with a few trash issues, we were face to face with Prophet Skeram. This guy can only be described as a very annoying fight that's not entirely too difficult once you learn it. I have no doubts he'll be going down tomorrow when we head back.

Good job folks. It's nice to have a fresh instance to explore.

The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj Open!
Posted Tuesday February 14 2006 - 01:00AM

Yesterday was a historic day for Hellscream. After over a month of farming supplies and waiting patiently, the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj finally opened! Around 1 PM EST, the gong was rung and the war was now upon us.

While some guilds rushed to be the first ones into the instances, Hell Inc chose to embrace the event fully. We spent the next 10 hour travelling across Silithus killing whatever lay in our path. By days end, most of us had pulled in a good 20,000+ reputation with the Brood of Nozdramu and we also managed to get our hands on quite a few epic drops!

We ended the night with a quick exploration trip into the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj where we dropped the first two bosses with relative ease.

Great job folks and I'm happy Hell Inc could be there to embrace the event and make our presence known! Now that the gates are open, we'll be hitting AQ heavily.

Hakkar 2.0....Drops Just As Easy As Hakkar 1.0.
Posted Thursday February 09 2006 - 12:58PM

So, Tuesday, we got an unexpected patch, 1.9.3. Even more surprising were the long awaited Zul'Gurub changes, including a complete re-write of the Hakkar encounter, making it a much harder and more interactive fight. After a few tries learning the new fight, I am pleased to say that Hakkar went down just as easy as he did before. I will give Blizzard credit though for making the fight a lot more fun than it was before.

You used to be able to sleep through the fight prior to 1.9. With the new patch, everyone needs to be on their feet and everyone will be doing something during the fight. Kudos to Blizzard on a long overdue change that makes ZG a lot more fun.

Hell Inc Drops Onyxia...Twice At Once?
Posted Tuesday February 07 2006 - 08:35AM

It's been a while since I last posted some news. We've been busy fine tuning our BWL farming, and getting ready for when the gates open.

So..once you've beat the highest level of content there is, what do you do until AQ finally opens up? Well, it's simple. You find new and better ways to raid existing content...

Ever since I heard about guilds doing 10 man Onyxia's I've wanted to try one. However, I thought it would be a good idea to ease the guild into the mentality of raiding Onyxia with a smaller group. Thus, Hell Inc tried it's first two team Onyxia raid.

We sent in two groups today of roughly 20-25 people. A short while later, we had two Onyxia corpses on the ground. Well done folks. This may not be anything special to some guilds, but us it was a new and exciting challenge and a step closer to eventually 10 manning Onyxia. In the future I will be running two Onyxia raids instead of one, whenever possible.

Great job folks.

Hell Inc Drops Nefarion!!!
Posted Tuesday January 17 2006 - 05:07AM

That's right folks...we did it!! The past 2 weeks have been an incredible rush for this guild. We've accomplished amazing things...things I never thought possible. It was on December 11, 2005 that we dropped Razorgore for the first time. The holidays were fast approaching and we were in danger of having our BWL progressed halted. We pushed hard the next week to drop Vaelastraz the Corrupt, and one week later, on December 18, 2005, he fell. Sadly, the holidays were upon us and things were just to hectic. We held raids until the new year when things settled down.

On Thursday, January 5, 2006, we re-entered BWL with the single task of making up for lost time and working our way to the end goal of dropping Nefarion. Only days later, the next boss, Broodlord Lashlayer lay dead at our feet. We were back on track and we had gotten a good taste of the next boss, Firemaw, who we would later deal with the next week.

Fast forward now to the weekend of 1/13, 1/14, 1/15 We did what no one thought possible. We dropped the next 4 bosses for the first time over the course of those 3 days. Firemaw, Ebonroc, Flamegore and Chromaggus were all dropped. All that was left was Nefarion. That Sunday, in our first series of encounters, ever, with Nefarion, we brought him to 18%. We knew what we had to do.

That brings us to today, Monday, January 16, 2006. We went back to BWL this evening with a mission. We had a job to do and we were determined to do it.

At roughly 10:00 PM EST, Nefarion was dead at our feet. I cannot express how proud and how impressed I am with how far we have come in BWL, in such a short while.

You guys were pushed these past 2 weeks, and you did not falter. You saw things through to the end and you did more than I thought possible.

Congratulations Hell Inc!
